Tidal Lane Safety Facility Solution
What Is a Tidal Lane
The tidal lane is a variable lane in which traffic may travel in either direction according to the traffic condition in the rush hour, changing the direction of the lane indicator light to adjust the number of lanes in one direction.
The traffic tide phenomenon, that is, the traffic flow in the direction of entering the city every morning is large, and the reverse flow is small; while the traffic flow in the direction of leaving the city at night is large, which further aggravates the congestion. For this situation, variable lanes can clear traffic well. In the morning rush hour, increase the number of lanes into the city and reduce the number of lanes out of the city; in the evening rush hour, reverse to the morning measures.
